From Tinta Lab in Dubai with Cara — how local expertise meets global innovation

Meet Cara — our ambassador of courage
Cara is the bright, determined spirit behind this story. Living with cerebral palsy, she navigates life in a wheelchair with strength and optimism. Comfort, however, has always been a daily challenge. Like many others, Cara knows the toll a poorly fitted seat can take on her posture, her energy, and her well-being.
But she never lets discomfort dull her smile.
A seat shaped to her life
Cara recently discovered our custom 3D-printed Programmable Foam® technology — and it changed everything. Unlike standard cushions, this one isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s shaped for her, and only her.
Tinta Lab began with a full-body impression using a vacuum bag to capture her posture precisely. Then, together with their physiotherapist, they performed a pressure mapping session in real time. This allowed them to see exactly where Cara needed relief — and where her body required more support.
From there, they adjusted the design digitally, fine-tuning every detail. The result was a seat that fits her body perfectly, offering balance, stability, and personalized comfort.
Pressure relief and health protection
Comfort is more than softness — it’s also about protection. Pressure injuries can develop silently and quickly when the seat doesn’t distribute weight properly.
With Cara’s cushion, we mapped and corrected those high-risk pressure zones. The result: a seat that reduces the risk of pressure injuries and supports long-term health.

Designed for real life: breathable, washable, durable
Cara lives an active life. That means her seat has to keep up — and stay fresh.
Programmable Foam® is highly breathable, allowing air to circulate freely through the structure. This helps maintain a healthy microclimate around the skin, reducing the risk of sweat buildup, overheating, and skin breakdown.
It’s also easy to clean. The seat is washable, quick-drying, and made from materials that don’t absorb moisture or odors. So Cara (and her caregivers) can focus more on living, and less on cleaning.
