Create it REAL and inorsys partner to bring 3D-printed seating aid cushions to the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets
Press release: Danish 3D printing innovator Create it REAL and German medical technology company inorsys have entered into a partnership to introduce Programmable Foam® seating solutions to the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets — collectively known as the DACH region.
Inorsys, already recognized for its components and solutions for customized seating aids, will establish a dedicated 3D printing and design service for customized seat cushions. This will enable them to deliver customized, high-performance seat cushions with short lead times and significantly reduced environmental impact.
"Programmable Foam holds an enormous potential as it outperforms the traditional foam material on all quality and hygiene aspects. We look forward to offering our customers this game-changing solution," says Knut, CEO of inorsys.
“We have been looking for the right partner for the DACH region for a long time, and in inorsys, we have found one who both sees the great possibilities of the technology and has direct access to medical supply stores and seating aid manufacturers,” says Jacob Nissen, CEO of Create it REAL. “We are excited about the collaboration and the value it will create for users and professionals alike.”
The implementation of 3D printing technology marks a milestone for inorsys toward cleaner production in line with ESG goals. Compared to traditional manufacturing, Programmable Foam® production generates far less waste and offers measurable benefits in breathability and pressure distribution — improving both sustainability and patient comfort.
Embrace Seat solution
In addition to producing customized seat cushions inorsys will also act as a value-added partner of the complete Embrace Seat solution in the DACH region, making it available to other manufacturers who wish to adopt the technology and its benefits. The solution consists of software for preparing the 3D model for printing, certified and tested TPU material, and a specialized 3D printer. During the 3D printing process, softer and harder zones are implemented directly, eliminating the need for post-processing and avoiding the gluing of different materials to achieve the desired result.
Meet us at Rehacare
We are pleased that the technology will now be available to a broader audience in the DACH market and look forward to pushing the boundaries by combining the technological expertise of Create it REAL with the market experience of inorsys.
You can meet both companies at Rehacare, where we will be present at the Create it REAL booth in the Danish Pavilion in Hall 4.
